Change the voice of the following sentence.

What is the race run by you ?

Answer :-

How would I change this sentence into passive voice "why is a race run by you?"

It’s already in passive voice.

An active voice variation might go something like this :-

“Why do you run a race?”

Alternatively :-

“How do you choose which race you will run?”

The key thing is placing the actor (subject) ahead of the action (verb).

A simple declarative English sentence has one of the following structures:

Subject→ Verb

Subject → Verb → Object

The sentence elements fall in that order. And that’s what you see when you’ve stripped away articles (a, an, & the) and other minor elements.

Examples above are only slightly more complex because of phrasing in the form of questions.
