A noise was being made by him.

Structure

Subject + was/were + being + past participle form of the main verb + Object

Extra Information

(1) The object in the active voice becomes the subject in the passive voice.

(2) The subject in the active voice becomes the object in the passive voice. It is generally preceded by the preposition 'by'.

(3) The main verb (the finite verb) of the sentence is changed into its past participle form, and it is preceded by the correct form of 'be' verb in passive voice.

(4) When the subject is a noun, it is used unchanged in passive voice but if the subject is a pronoun, the correct objective form of that pronoun should be used in passive voice.
