  • Deposition s a geologic process in which the sediments,  soil, and rocks are added by the motion of the water, ice, and gravity and get transferred and deposited at places through the flow of the kinetic energy.
  • The oxbow lake is a U shaped lake that is formed when a river meanders and is cut off.
  • The river deposits occur on the convex banks and effects pf the flow takes the shape of a circular bowl and dense particles as sand and silt get into it.  
  • The curved path of the river is responsible for the position of  flow and gradually moves with the smaller particles to the side and large particles with the stream.
