chapter 1 q:a pulley of radius 0.9 m is used to lift a bucket from the well. If it took 3.6 rotations for the pulley to take water out of the well, how deep is water in the well ?

so if radius of that pulley is 0.9 m

its circumference will be

2× (22/7)×0.9 = 5.65 cm

now ti took 3.6 rotations to pull water out

and 1 rotation will be of = 5.65 m

so 3.6 rotations will be of = 5.65 × 3.6 = 20.34m.

so depth of water in well will be

20.34m answer
