the story of my life is autobiography of helen keller. she ws born on 27 june,1880 in tuscumbia, a little town of northern alabama in USA . the family on  her father's side is decended from caspar keller, a native of switzerland. one of her swiss ancestor was the first teacher of the deaf in zwich and wrote a book on the subject of their education.
nineteen months after her birth, helen fell ill which left her with visual and hearing disabilities. these visual could  not be blotted out even when she became blind. they had a permanent print on her heart.
