Salal: The Salal Dam is a hydroelectric power project on the river Chenab. The construction of the dam started after mutual agreement between India and Pakistan in 1978.
Bhakra Nangal: Bhakra Dam is a concrete dam in the upstream of river Sutlej in Himachal. Nangal is another Dam in the downstream of Sutlej in Punjab.
Tehri Dam: It is one of the highest dams in India on the river Bhagirathi near Uttarakhand.
Rana Pratap Sagar Dam: It is a gravity masonry dam, built on the Chambal River.
Sardar Sarovar Dam: It is a gravity dam on the River Narmada near Navagam.
Hirakud Dam: It is the first major multipurpose river valley project build across the River Mahanadi.
Nagarjuna Sagar: This dam is build across the river Krishna and is known as world’s largest and tallest masonry dams.
Tungabhadra Dam: This is the largest dam in Karnataka which is build on the River Tungabhadra.
