Hey!

-------------------------------

Question: How did Prashant help the women and children to get over their grief?

(NCERT Grade 9 Moments Lesson 6 "Weathering the Storm in Ersama")

------------------------------

The cyclone in the village was devastating. The children had become orphans and the the mothers had become childless and few even widows. The life of the mothers were broken and the tender children had lost their parents and were lonely. Houses were broken, families shattered. But, Prashant was there to fix all he could. He came up with an idea of creating a bond between the Children and the childless mothers. He felt that the kids needed affection and a bond of love and needed to grow along with the society they were always comfortable with. He made a shelter for the orphans, organized cricket matches for the kids, and requested the mothers to provide the children with food, which also slowly dissolved the grief in the mothers. The orphaned children were settled with their own community. He persuaded them to start a new, good life. This is how he helped out the children and women get over thier grief.
