Let us take ∆ABC to be a iscoscles triangle...

Construction :

Draw a Median from A to BC at D... So AD is the median .

Given :

Angle ABD = Angle ACD

Proof :

Consider ∆ABD and ∆ACD,

AD = AD (Common)

Angle ABD = Angle ACD (Given)

BD = CD (Median AD bisects BC)

By SAS Congruency, ∆ABD =~∆ACD

=> By CPCT AB = AC

Hence Proved...
