1.Both Mikkel and Michael are the same person. Time Travel allows for them to exist at the same time.
2.Kenard saw an opportunity to increase his rep by killing Omar and he simply took advantage of that. Kenard was never demonstrated to be a long-term thinker but he was shown to be immature and impulsive. Killing Omar would get him what he thought in his young mind that he wanted.
