4)He escaped the ticket collector’s attention because luckily the ticket collector did not come to the unreserved compartment
5)He decided to follow the ‘strange’ girl because he did not know where to go and what to do. Basically, he did not have a plan for himself
Answer:
Q1 > Velu got surprised on seeing Jaya because she was a complete stranger and Velu could not understand why she could be calling him.
Q2 > Velu felt that he was still on a moving train because his legs were shaking. He was tired and exhausted because of the journey. Also, because he had hardly eaten anything. He had to walk the entire first day after he left his home.
Q3 > Velu had not eaten anything for two days except some peanuts and a piece of jaggery. He felt very hungry but did not have any money to buy food. He also did not know where to go from there. All these made him feel miserable.
Q4 > Velu escaped the ticket collector's attention by travelling in an unreserved compartment and the ticket collector did not come here.
Q5 > Velu had run away from home and had no idea where to go and what to eat the girl was his last option. So, he decided to follow the strange girl rather than getting lost.
