\bigstarradius of the beam is 7 × 10-³ m

\bigstarWe know that g is 9.8 m/s²

To Find:-

\bigstarYoung' modulus of the beam

Solution:-

\bigstarFormula Used ,

 \\  {\underline{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \sf{e \:  =  \frac{mgal {}^{2} }{2bd {}^{3y}  }  \times nm { }^{ - 2} }}}}}

\bigstarSubstitute the value in formula.

 \\  =  \sf \:  \frac{3 \times 7.3 \times 9.8 \times 20 \times 0.6 \times 0.6}{2 \times 0.02 \times (14 \times 10 {}^{ - 3} ) {}^{3}  \times 4.75 \times 10 {}^{ - 3} }

 \\  =  \sf \:  \frac{4292.4 \times 0.36}{0.19 \times 2744 \times 10 {}^{ - 9}{ \times 10 {}^{ - 3}  } }

 \\ =   \sf \:  \frac{1545.26}{521.36 \times  {10}^{ - 2} }

Given:-

Distance separated on two knife - edges is 0.6 m.

Cylindrical beam

Mass of load is 7.3 kg

Elevation of the centre is 4.75 x 10-³m

radius of the beam is 7 x 10-³

We known that g is 9.8 m/s²

To find:-

Young's modulus of the beam

Solution:-

formula used,

e mgal²/ 2bd³y x nm -2

Substitute the value in formula.

= 3 x 7.3 x 9.8 x 20 x 0.6 x 0.6

2 x 0.02 x (14x10-³)³ x 4.75 x 10-³

= 4292.4 x 0.36

= 0.19 x 2744 x 10-9 x 10-³

= 1545.26

= 521.36 x 10-²

= 2.96 x 10²

The young's modulus of the beam is 2.96 x 10²
