1) we can identify materials based on their hardness by those materials which cannot be easily compressed cut , moulded or scratched ex: iron ,steel

2) substances which are mixed with water are called soluble substances ex : salt

substances that do not form solutions when mixed with water are called insoluble substances ex : oil

3) to understand the relationships bety different organisms

4) translucent

: allow some light to allow through them

transparent : to all visible light

Opaques : block light from travelling through them

5) chalk doesn't dissolve in water because chalk comprises CaCo3 which is insoluble
