Harris is one of the three men in the novel "Three men in a boat".
George , Harris and Jerome are the three characters. They want to go on a holiday. Harris does not want to do stay in the country. So they decide to go on a boating trip on the River Thames in England.
Harris is a dull person. He is a drunkard. He is forgetful person. He thinks he is funny and is good at music. When he is asked to sing, he forgets the words of the songs he knows. He tells things about himself but others do not believe him. He could not do anything properly. He messes things up and complicates simple things too. He is like a comedian character in the novel.
He falls into grass and falls onto a food hamper. While he was alone on the boar, he fought a rude and rogue swan flock in the river. This is what he tells his friends, when his friends return from the river bank.
