Character of jayanto from story fritz

Jayanto in the story of fritz seems to afraid and confused. In the beginning his memory seem to be very sharp in the way he talks about the place bundi and about his father gupta who was archaeologist. His thoughts about the place is so accurate as those places has left the impression on it. this shows that Jayanto had good memory power later in the story he is reminded and curious about the doll which he had dug under the tree. Jayanto seems to be discrepant as of the doll every night the doll meets him . meanwhile he doesn't fell well due to the lack of sleep. Therefore Jayanto in the whole story seems to be scared terrified and confused
