• What is a lung ?

Lung Is the primary organ of the the body and helps to respire

• Characteristics :-

• Lungs are situated on the two sides of the heart

• They transport oxygens from the atmosphere into blood and released carbondioxides from the body

• It consists of the alveolar [ Ballon like structure ] in which the diffusion of the gases take place


• When the Amount of the gases in the blood is less than that of the alveoli then it passes to the blood as we know that the fluid diffuses from High potential to low potential and vice versa

• For efficient diffusion of the gases lungs should be well and efficient too so for that it consist small villli structure rajy increases the surface area and hence the much number of gases are enter and out through it
