Michael Anagnos was the head of the ' Perkins Institute for the Blind '. He was a great friend of Helen. He was the one that sent Miss Anne Sullivan to Helen that opened the doors of education and enlightened her soul. He also invited Helen to celebrate the Christmas at the Perkins Institute. He also published the story 'The Frost Fairies' sent by Helen to him in the weekly magazine.
However, later when Helen was accused of plagiarism for the story, Helen came to know that even Mr. Anagnos did not believe him.That incident soured his relationship with him forever.
After the publishing of Helen's autobiography, he stated that he was very proud of her and that he spoke in favour of her during the questioning.
Helen never knew what actually was the truth.
