Helen describes Dr Alexander Graham Bell as a very generous and helpful person; who helped her through her hard times. He was the person who understood her sign language and what she likes and dislikes etc. On his advice, Helen's father sent Helen to Horace Mann School to attend speech classes. Moreover, her father by following Dr. Bell's advice found Miss Anne Sullivan who dedicatedly taught Helen. Helen perceives that Dr. Bell was an entertaining personality and a poet with unconditional affection for children, notably for the deaf.
