Ajit is the husband of the central character (Nomita) of the story. He is from a rich family and others think, he's large hearted,etc..But, he is arrogant and has contempt towards others. He reads the letters of his wife before she has her hand on it. He takes every matter as a joke, even he takes his wife as a joke. He doesn't give any importance to others feelings. He is irritated by the letter of Nomita's mom.
