Alexander Graham Bell was a gentleman whom Helen Keller met at the age of six. He was an inventor of telephone and also helps deaf children in their education. A small interview with him made life wonderful for Helen as he led her from darkness to light. He told Helen's father to write to Mr. Anagnos, director of Perkins institution at Boston in order to get Helen educated. This was a bright step towards success for Helen. He was sympathetic, caring and had daughterly affection with her. He told Helen's parents to send Helen to Horace Mann School, which came handy for Helen in developing her lip reading skills.

He told about his experiments in great detail to Helen. At the world fair too he told every thing about the electronic world. He took Helen from a fairy tale to a real practical world full of technologies. He welcomes Helen in his laboratory and tells about his invention of telephone and how it was important as a communication media. He also helped Anne Sullivan in investigating a case when helen was accussed of plagiarism this shows his helpful nature. He was such a kind-hearted gentlemen that Helen dedicated her autobiography 'story of my life' to her.
