Character sketch of Anne Frank

Anne Frank is frank, ruthless and lively even as a teenager. She does not mince words in her description of men and matters. She is quite honest in owning the lack of rapport between her and her parents. She tell us about her feelings without any hesitation. She seems to have a brooding nature too, which account for her sensitive nature and her sense of keen observation.

As a school girl she is quite lively and talkative. Her chattering habit is frowned upon her teachers, especially Mr Kessing, her Maths teacher. Mr Keesing tries to reform her by punishing her with extra homework. He asks her to write or seemingly difficult and absurb topics. Anne answers back with her brilliant and witty writings. Her essay in verse makes Mr Keesing and the whole class laugh of heartily. Mr Keesing gives up his attempt to reform such a lively girl. Rather he begins to be more tolerable and humorous in his classes.

Thus Anne, as a teenager, is quite lively, introspective, witty and humourous. She is quite original and innovative in her responses to various situations.
