‘Sir Lawley’s Ghost’ is a short story written for children by Bangalore based author, Asha Nehemiah.
Sir Lawley was a rich man, who was killed by a greedy cousin. The mansion in which he lived was converted to a school and soon enough got the label of being haunted by Sir Lawley’s ghost. The story is about Rustom, the naughty dormitory prefect and the new boy Arjun.
Rustom wanted to scare the new boys and he tried to do the same with Arjun. However, Arjun got the upper hand and scared Rustom instead, using a red-ink stained pillow and a broom handle.
