Binya, a girl from a small village in Gahrwal, admires the things around her. Like all other mountain girls, she is quite sturdy, with pink cheeks, fair skin and dark eyes. She wore pretty glass bangles on her wrist and a glass bead necklace. From the necklace, hung a leopards claw. In the mountains, people were leopards claw, because they think it's lucky for them. Her real name was Binyadevi, but everybody called her Binya. She loved her cows; Neelu and Gori and the cows also preffered to be with Binya, because she let them wander around. Binya used to get attached to things very easily, (as she got to the umbrella) which made her different from her brother Bijju.
