Bishop Brook is a character of novel The Story Of My Life.
When Heller was a child she loved to sit on his knee and clasp his great hand with one of hers. He gave her a real sense of joy in life and she never left him without carrying away a fine thought that grew in beauty and depth of meaning she grew.
