Charles 'Chuck' Hooper was a courageous and determined man. Even after paralysis in an accident, he did his best to keep going. He did his best to cope with the situation with Duke and Marcy's help. Though he gave up at times, he found renewed strength and persevered. He was focused on his goal and tried to achieve a little everyday. He had faith in himself to bounce back, and had faith in his ability. Even after the doctor told him that it would be difficult to get back on his feet, he did his best and succeeded in walking. We can also see the loving side of Chuck when he was with Duke. His happiness at seeing Duke after a long stay at the hospital was only matched by Duke himself. Overall, we can say that Chuck was a determined, focused, loving, courageous, persevering and determined man. He truly is a great role model for those who feel like giving up.
