Coachman ali was the main charachter in letter . Coachman Ali was hunter and at that time he doesn't more worry about his daughter Miriam . When she marry a soldier who were in punjab . When she go to punjab he starts missing his daughter Miriam .all morning he go to post office and wait for his daughter letter . he wait for five years after that he die but he know that one day his beloved daughter sent a letter but it was late after his death her letter came . he is a lovable father.

The chapter deals with the story of a old young man Ali who went to the post office daily in search for his daughter's letter.

Ali was a brilliant hunter who left hunting after he realized the pain behind separation. He had only one daughter Miriam who went to Punjab after her marriage and Ali was left all alone.

He went to the post office daily in hope of getting a letter from her daughter but unfortunately was never able to get it.
