Mrs. Pearson was the house-maker of the family. She was a submissive woman who looked after her husband, children and the house. She was not given the equal right and respect in the family.

Doris and Cyril are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Pearson. They did none of their jobs in the house and asked their mother to do everything for them. They didn't respect their mother and never listened to her advice and orders.

Mrs.Fitzerald was the neighbor of the Pearson's. She was bold and dominant. She never let anyone dominate her and was the boss of her family.

Mr. George Peasrson was a dominant husband who always wanted his wife to obey his sayings and orders. George was solemn but assumed himself to be self-important and pompous. At the club, he had become one of the matters of fun and joke for the people. The people in the club called him Pompy-Ompy Pearson because of his pompous and slow nature.
