HE PRACTICED ARCHERY.HE HAS NOT HESITATED TO SACRIFICE HIS THUMB TO DRONACHARYA AS GURU DAKSHINA. eklavya cut his thumb from his right hand and gave it as guru dakshina. In the Mahabharata, Ekalavya was son of Hiranyadhanus, who was King Jarasandha'sarmy commander and leader of the Nishadhas. Ekalavya was hurt when he was rejected by Acharya Drona, Ekalavya still didn't give up on his resolute will to master archery. Drona sent him back from the Ashram after being called not able to learn archery.
