Answer: In the novel Gustad Noble was shown as a protagonist who is a devotee of the Zoroastrian god Ahura Mazda. He was a man in his 60's with white hair and beard but his moustaches were thick and black.
Gustad was a lover of music and he loves to sing songs. Moreover, he has also modified some popular American songs. His married life is also going well, and he has been married to Dilnavaz from last 21 years. He has 3 children in which two are teenager sons and 1 is a daughter who turned 9 during the course of novel.
In the novel “Such a long journey”, Gustad is portrayed as loving, caring and responsible father who is so passionate about his elder son’s future.
He underwent so many grievances which stopped him from being successful which he wants to fulfill through his son Sohrab. He predicted that one day his son would become a professional. He endures many hardships and encourages his son. The entire novel clearly depicts the extent of Gustad’s predetermination and resolution about the future of his son.
