Hey buddy
Here is ur answer
Harris is a friend of George and J., who joins them on the trip. Although the novel's flashbacks suggest that J. and Harris (full name William Samuel Harris) have known each other for a long time, J. actually dislikes Harris a great deal. He constantly criticizes Harris for being lazy and uncultured, and writes that "there is no poetry about Harris – no wild yearning for the unattainable"
Hope it helps u

Harris was a vain fellow who pretends to be very hardworking but usually he pushes his burden of work on others. He was outspoken and cannot tells anything to his friends also even what he was thinking about them.He was very lazy due to which J. felt very angry to him. He also likes to visit Tombs and Graveyards. He was also quite short tempered.....
