• “He was the wonderful scientist who found many things for us,” Heena remarked. Mother inquired, "Do you know how he became such a wonderful scientist?" He was the class's weakest student.
• His teacher used to tell him that he would never amount to much in life. “How could he then become a brilliant scientist?” Heena wondered.
• “Have you heard about Abraham Lincoln?” Heena's mother encouraged. He was the President of the United States of America. He was also an impoverished child. He couldn't afford to buy books because he didn't have any.
• On the train station, he sold newspapers and chocolates. He started selling newspapers and bought books to supplement his income. He, too, put up a great deal of work and never gave up.
• He later became President of the United States. Heena admitted to being a slow learner to her mother.
• Her class teacher also told her the same thing on several occasions. “Have you heard the storey of the hare and the tortoise?”
• Mother inquired. Hare was a fast runner, but he didn't come in first. It is unimportant that the fastest learner always comes in first. The importance of consistency and hard work in achieving success cannot be overstated.
• Heena realised that speed was unimportant; it was the consistency of her efforts and hard work that made the difference.
• She vowed to her mother that she would work hard and never give up in life. She later went on to become an astronaut.
