Frnd,
HELEN KELLER is the main character of the novel, she is blind and deaf but even with her disability she doesn't show any repugnance for her state.
There is much to say about her like she is very close to her family especially her mother and she hated her little sister (she treated her as an Intruder in her life), but later they both became good siblings.
Helen was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia ( a little town in Albama).
Arthur H. Keller was her father who was captain in the Confederate Army and her mother Kate Adams.
The family moved to Memphis, after a Civil war.
The Helen's house called ‘Ivy Greens’ was surrounded by trees, fences, creepers, rare flowers and the fragrance of sweet and beautiful flowers filled the air with Happiness.
She was a happy child, but an illness, stuck at her very tender age of just Nineteenth months and left her Blind And Deaf.
To lose her Sight and Hearing was a nightmare, but she gradually got used to the silence and darkness that surrounded her.
Hope it helped
