the story " The snake and the Mirrors", the homeopath doctor has been portrayed as a person who can assess himself critically and humorously . Homeopath doctor had just started a medical practice but his earnings were very meagre. He has only sixty rupees in his suitcase along with shirt, dhotis and not so white vest. He lived in small rented room that was not electrified. It was full of rats. He is very poor and the only luxury he had was a black coat. He was a great admirer of beauty and he believed himself as handsome. He decided to shave daily to grow a thin moustache to look more handsome. He wished to keep a smile always to look better. He wanted to marry a women doctor who had plenty of money and a good medical practice. He also wanted a fat wife so that whenever he would make a mistake his wife would not be able to catch him. But in his real life he married a thin and slender person who could run like a sprinter. He was a foolish doctor because when a snake coiled itself on his arm he was afraid because who was not aware about the medicine what he use if the snake bites him.
