Character sketch of IVAN from "Quench the Spark"
Explanation:
- IVAN had a harmonious family that does well for themselves. When drunken Gabriel strikes one in all Ivan's daughters-in-law, and Ivan eventually sees there that he's sentenced to flogging by the court Gabriel refuses to solve the dispute.
- Later, Ivan feels compassionate to Gabriel but he refuses to just accepts his mistake Ivan's father urges him to reconcile, and to prevent wasting his time and money visiting the court, and to prevent setting a nasty example for his family.
- Ivan still refuses to reconcile so he was stubborn. But when Gabriel burnt Ivan's house his father gets burnt in it and on his deathbed he says to forget the enmity his father says Ivan never to inform that it absolutely was Gabriel who had set the fireplace, and Ivan agrees.
- Gabriel and Ivan then again became good friends, and their families lived together as their houses were rebuilt.
- The families then persist to become more prosperous than ever this is often the prudence of Ivan.
