Jerome is the narrator of the story and appears to be be a go lucky man .He has varied shades of his character. He is also hypochondriac who thinks that he has all the diseases in the world.He makes a lot of fuss in packing the things for the boat trip.
He is also fond of animals.he is more sensible and practical. He also had a tough time in the cheese episode.
