John Openshaw was a young man of 22 years of age. He was the son of Joseph Openshaw. He came to Sherlock bringing an unusual case of generational curse. He said to Holmes that his father and uncle died after receiving a letter with Five orange pip. John also was found dead after he received this mysterious letter.
