JULIETTE - THE OWNER OF THE VILLA IS A FICKLE-MINDED PERSON. THIS IS EVIDENT FROM THE FACT THAT SHE PUTS THE 'VILLA FOR SALE'SIGN ONLY AT NIGHT AS SHE IS RELUCTANT TO SELL THE VILLA. HOWEVER THE VILLA FAILS TO ATTRACT THE BUYERS ,SHE WAS SAD BECAUSE THE VILLA WAS UNSOLD. SHE IS ALSO GREEDY PERHAPS WHY SHE QUOTES A PRICE OF 250 THOUSAND FRANCS TO GASTON & JEANNE. THOUGH EARLIER,WHEN THE BUYERS WERE NOT COMING , JULIETTE WAS READY TO SELL IT FOR EVEN 100 THOUSAND FRANCS. JULIETTE IS ALSO CLEVER ENOUGH TO TRY TRICKS SUCH AS FLATTERY AND PRAISED TO IMPRESS GASTON.
