A great Roman general who has recently returned to Rome after a military victory in Spain.Caesar’s conflation of his public image with his private self helps bring about his death, since he mistakenly believes that the immortal status granted to his public self somehow protects his mortal body.
Caesar, the greatest general, had Rome's welfare at heart. He declared himself “ as constant as the North Star” which clearly depicts the firm determined personality of Caesar. However, he was indecisive and easily swayed by others. He believed in superstitions as he sent his messenger to ask the priest if he should go to the senate house. He failed to understand the plan of conspirators and did not heed the warning of his wife Calpurnia about threat to his life. He was courageous and confident general who was murdered by his own friends due to arrogance.
