He and Octavius defeat conspirators Brutus and Cassius.Caius Cassius convinces Brutus to join the conspiracy and rallies others to the cause; he kills himself when he believes his best friend has been captured in the battle of Philippi.Octavius, Caesar’s adopted son, and Mark Antony win the war, but the play concludes with discord between them that foreshadows the conflict in Antony and Cleopatra.
