Character Sketch of Lord Ullin’s Daughter
She was quite a brave, courageous, gutsy and freedom-loving girl. Even in those times, when the society was not as liberal as the contemporary society, she had the courage to defy her father. She took the decision of eloping with her lover. She was quite fearless. She did not hesitate once stepping onto the boat that was to take them across the stormy sea to the other side. She knew the risks involved; but still she took the risk and was drowned in the stormy sea along with her lover and the helpful boatman.
