In the kingdom of fools both the characters of the king as well as the minister has been portrayed in a very foolish manner. They have been depicted as very idiotic rulers who have changed day into night and night into day just because they wanted their kingdom to be different from others and whoever did not do as they commanded were sentenced to death.
We also get to know about their idiotic judgement when they were judging the case of the merchant and the thief who was killed because the wall of the house of the merchant fell on the thief while he was carrying out his ancient trade. The king and the merchant can also be called foolish because they believed the words of the guru without even thinking about it.
