miss Anne Sullivan was Helen's teacher. She was sent from the Perkins Institution of Blind to teach Helen who is blind as well as deaf. She could understand that a child without sight must be suffering and she was also aware with the psychology of such persons. She knew what Helen wanted and accordingly taught her to communicate with the people around her. She hold Helen sensitively but firmly. When Helen get irritated and threw tantrums she deals with the situation in a practical way.
A teacher like her is not only a guiding force for Helen but also a true friend, a companion, and a mother like figure. Miss Sullivan's selfless nature matched with Helen's eagerness to learn which brought many beautiful and wonderful achievements for Helen.
