Sabars were the poor and landless. They never sent their daughters to work. They had to work for the Babus. Despite their misery they never complained. Moina who was very interested in her studies but she can’t able to attend the class on time because she had to go to graze the Babu’s sheep in the morning. She also said that none of the goatherds would be able to go to school unless the timings were changed. Moina was a tribal girl belonging to a community called sabra. Daughters are not usually sent to work in this community but Moina had to go because her mother was invalid, her father was in Jamshedpur in search of work and her brother Goro had to go to the forest to collect firewood. As there was no one else to support the family, Moina had to go to work.
