Character Sketch of Montemorency

Montemorency was the only imaginary character in the novel 'Three men in a boat'.
It was a rat-terrier breed of dog. Montemorency was very playful but sometimes annoying too.
It brings humour in the plot.
Despite being a secondary character, it plays a crucial role in the novel.
Some of the incidents of Montemorency were unforgettable. The way it become frightened with the cat was very interesting.
When the men were cooking the Irish-stew, Montemorency brought a dead water-rat as his contribution. He was also very lively when Harris tried to cook scrambled eggs.
Once, when the three men were making tea, Montemorency became irrated with the spout of the kettle and started a fight, resulting in burning its nose.
Thus, Montemorency was a funny, playful and entertaining companion.

Montmorency was the dog of three friends. These three friends were Jerome , George , Harris. Montmorency's ambition in life is to interfere with others and be abused.

He wants to be a perfect obstacle and make people mad. If things are thrown at his head and he feel his Day has not been wasted.

To that somebody to stumble over him and cause him sturdily for an hour is his biggest and highest aim and object.

He came and sat on things just when they were going to be packed. He who to his leg in to the gym and worried that is spoons and pretended that lemons virats and got into the hamper and killed three of them.

It is the natural Original Sin that is born in him that makes him to do things like that.
