In the Jungle Book, Mowgli is the main character. Shere Khan the tiger takes Mowgli from his village and as Mowgli escapes, he reaches into the cave where the wolf family lives. In the wolf club, he is raised like their own child. He is named as 'Mowgli' by the wold mother which means 'little frog.' As a young child, he is spunky and brave and gains allot skills at earliest. He has more animal-like movements than of humans. He is able to strategize and is smart and wily. Bagheera and Balloo bring him back into reality. Mowgli is a strong and a good leader who respects the jungle law and traditions.

  Mowgli, the little hero of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, he is a happy boy who thinks and lives like an animal. After separating from his family, he is being brought up the wolf's family. So he considers himself one among them and tries to build in their behavior.  

  Living life always combating with the animals and jungle life, he becomes more self-reliant, self-defiant, brave, and courageous. He continually learns new skills to master the art of jungle life. He becomes friendly and communicates with animals. He is constantly in search of his identity and family. He obeys the "laws of the jungle" and protects the animals from enemies.
