Mr. Irons was the neighbour of the family of Mr William wade whom Helen and miss sullivian were visiting in Hulton, Pennsylavania. He was a good Latin scholar and it had been arranged that she would study under him . Mr irons was a man of rare,sweet nature of wide experience. It was under his tutelage that Helen for the first time came to know as author , recognised his style as one recognised the clasp of a friend's hand.
