Mr. Kashikar works as a social worker. He feels very proud of his profession. He feels very happy for himself to be in such a profession which gives him status in the public. He used to abuse his wife Mrs. Kashikar for whatever she used to speak. They do not have any children. He did not appreciate the Women's independence movement going on in India. He regarded the women to be immoral who do not give their consent to marry. He was critical about the women who wanted to work and live an independent life.
