Munni was a lady who did not fear speaking out her thoughts. The best example of this can be found when her husband Halku asks her to get the three rupees that she has saved to buy a blanket for the January winter. When the moneylender comes to collect his dues from Halku, Munni asks him to tell the moneylender that they would repay him when they earn something from selling their crops. She is also portrayed as a person who does not believe in her husband’s fake promises of buying the blanket later.
