Peter van Daan is the son of Mr and Mrs van Daan.He is fifteen years old at the time of going in hiding.He is quite,timid,rather awkward and a nervous boy.Anne does not have a very high opinion of him at first,but she discovers a friend in him much later.The two enter in an intense emotional and romantic relationship thereafter.Howevr Anne would like a deeper connect with him and he does not communicate in a like manner.Peter van Daan is forced to march fro. the concentration camp at Auschwitz.This infamous march is named as the 'Death March' since many prisoners died on the way.Peter van Daan,too,dies in March 5 1945 I. Mauthausen in Austria.
