In the story “The Star Ducks”, Rafferty plays a reporter role. He was a sincere and dedicated reporter. He was a hard worker too.

Once he heard the news that there was a plane crash near Alsop’s house. He rushed to that place to cover the entire plane crash. But unfortunately, it was the wrong information. But actually, it was a contraption due to alien's vehicle. They used to travel from their planet to earth rarely.

Rafferty wants to shoot all the things about alien's in his phone from the nearest fuel station. But unfortunately, they left the place before he arrives. So he was unable to cover any story on that day.
