Santosh Yadav was a strong headed girl who began to live her life on her own terms since an early age. While other girls of her age wore traditional dresses she preferred to wear shorts.When she turned sixteen her parents persuaded her to get married but she threatened them by saying that she would never marry unless she get a proper education. Eventually she enrolled herself in a college in Delhi. When her parents refused to finance her education she simply informed them about her plans to work part time to pay her school fees. By seeing her strong determination her parents were compelled to pay her school fees. Her strong will-power and passion towards excellence enabled her to become the youngest woman to scale the Mount Everest twice.We also get a glimpse of her caring side when during her expedition to Mount Everest she saves the life of a fellow climber by sharing her oxygen with him.
